About the Artist |

In
photography, I have found my true calling, because I enjoy
making images. I love gardens and feel at home among roses,
daisies and sunflowers. Similarly, I love spending time with
my pets and delight in watching their ever-playful antics.
Occasionally, I go to a friend's farm and spend hours
photographing chickens, ducks, geese, sheep, horses and other
barnyard critters. It's so much fun trying to capture the
essence of a rooster or goat or bunny rabbit!

Ever since I was a child, I've taken photos. First with my
Brownie Camera, followed by a Kodak Instamatic, and then with
a Nikkomat 35-millimeter single lens reflex. Now, I use a
digital camera and love the clarity, depth, color and detail
it offers. My favorite subjects are flowers, nature and
animals. My own
pets make excellent models--and Suzy, my
Sheltie, actually loves posing
for the camera. |

Over the past fifteen years, my work as a career counselor has
led me on a personal path of change and transformation. With a
Master of Fine Arts from UCLA and a Master of Social Work from
the University of Michigan, I enjoy careers in visual as well
as interpersonal arts. Plus, I believe a wellspring of
inspiration and creativity comes from my daily practice of
mindfulness meditation and living in the moment.

All
of my photographs are taken with presence of mind and heart.
Each image is designed to evoke beauty, grace and
light-hearted fun with animals and nature. My work symbolizes
my outlook on life and, hopefully, will inspire you to feel
more joy, hope and beauty in yours as well. |
